Registration and Schedule


Most SAIT full-time programs have a cohort system where you'll be working toward a credential in an allotted amount of time with the same group of students. You will be registered in classes about six weeks before your program begins and your schedule — day, time and location of classes — will be available around the end of November (winter or spring term) or the middle of July (fall term).

If you're in one of these programs, register for your courses online through mySAIT.

Confirmation of Enrolment

After you're registered, you'll be able to get confirmation of enrolment from the Office of the Registrar.

Checking your schedule

Your schedule for the fall term will be ready by mid-July and you can check it through mySAIT or through Ellucian GO. As there could be some changes, make sure to check your schedule again before your first day of classes.

If you see these messages on your schedule, don't worry — you've been registered in your classes and no action is required on your part.

Courses without assigned meeting times

  • This means a room number is not assigned to the course as it is delivered through correspondence or fully/partially online through Brightspace (D2L).

Courses with a time conflict

  • This usually means the course is held in more than one room at some point during the term. Refer to your Student Detail Schedule for additional information.

If your access is disabled, contact Office of the Registrar.

Adding and Dropping Classes

The timeline to add and/or drop courses is based on your program and the number of weeks you're registered in for a specific term. If your program term is less than 15-weeks long, or if you are on practicum, you will have a shorter time period to add/drop courses.

13 or more weeks Second Friday from program term start date
8-12 weeks First Friday from program term start date
2-7 weeks Two days from program term start date
Less than two weeks There is no add/drop period

Add/Drop online

If you are in one of these programs, you will be able to add and drop courses through your mySAIT account.

If you can't add/drop online due to a course restriction or if you don't have a time ticket, contact your program coordinator or academic chair.

Add/Drop with a form

  • Meet with your program coordinator or academic chair to complete a Subject Registration - Add/Drop form.
  • Bring the signed form to Office of the Registrar.
  • Check your tuition balance in mySAIT after making adjustments to your schedule. Any additional tuition fees must be paid immediately. Any credit will be refunded.

Program withdrawal

If you are withdrawing from your program, you'll need to complete a Program Withdrawal form and submit it to Office of the Registrar.
